Born to a legendary Bollywood director Mr. Basu Chatterjee, Rupali has a creative spark for storytelling already in her genes. Armed with a management degree, she made her foray into the satellite television space with innovative content and ideas that well defined her personality. Her television career began with Chausatt Panne for Zee Tv. Apart from shows such as Kashi (Ndtv Imagine), Tumhari Disha and Dil Se Diya Vachan (Zee Tv), Sirf Stories (Sab Tv).
She has been single-handedly responsible for the creation of more than 1500 episodes of the popular show – ‘Uttaran’ on Colors. Rupali made her directorial debut with the Hindi film ‘Aamras’, a coming-of-age film about four 18-year-old girls and she have just completed her first Bengali feature film with Prosenjit Chatterjee. Currently, Rupali is hands on working on her new TV show Ishq Ka Rang Safed and planning on her new assignments including spearheading a team of creative writers.
